This book is an interesting concept: to make a suggestion to the reader for some kind of observing to do on every night, for the whole year. The execution of the idea isn't perfect, however. Some of the days' entries aren't anything to do with observing at all. I also think there will probably be a lot of cases where it's just not practical to follow the book's timetables, e.g., when there are cloudy skies. Some of the suggestions are for naked eye observing, some for binoculars, and some for a telescope, but a given reader will probably not be doing all three of those. Many of the photos are very low in resolution. Still, it could be a good tool for someone who wants a physical object on his coffee table to remind him to do some observing on a regular basis.
